Meet the Instructor

Hello, I am Dr. Sara Thompson and am the Chair of the Master of Science in Counseling and Human Services program at Post University. In addition to possessing my doctorate degree in psychology, I recently earned another graduate degree, an M. Ed. in Learning Design and Technology. In addition to full-time employment, I teach psychology to high school students and work with students on their research projects, and freelance as an instructional designer. Sara has experience in higher education, online learning, instructional design, clinical mental health counseling and human services, and non-profit advocacy work. Sara serves as guardian ad litem in SC and is an advocate for women who have experienced domestic/intimate partner violence. In my free time, I can be found on the beach with my senior pup Ms. Maude or relaxing at home with both my fur babies (Ms. Maude and Good Kitty).
